Elsa Pataky was born as Elsa Lafuente Medianu on the 18th July 1976 in Madrid, Spain, and is an actress and model, best known for her roles in such movies as “Snakes on a Plane” (2006), “Fast Five” (2011), “Fast & Furious 6” (2013), and “Furious Seven” (2015). Pataky’s career started in 1995.

Have you ever wondered how rich Elsa Pataky is, as of late 2016? According to authoritative sources, it has been estimated that Pataky’s net worth is as high as $5 million, an amount earned through her successful acting career. In addition to being a TV and film actress, Pataky has also worked as a model, which improved her wealth too.

Elsa Pataky was born a daughter of Cristina Pataky Medianu, a publicist of Romanian and Hungarian ancestry, and José Francisco Lafuente, a Spanish biochemist. She went to the CEU San Pablo University, where she studied journalism, but also attended acting classes.

Pataky started her acting career in 1995 in an episode of the TV series called “What’s the Bet?”, and later she played Raquel Alonso in 189 episodes of “Al Salir de Clase” (1997-1998). By the end of the ‘90s, Pataky had appeared in “La Vida en el Aire” (1998) and in ten episodes of “Tío Willy” (1999). In 2000, Elsa had roles in Álvaro Fernández Armero’s “The Art of Dying”, in two episodes of “Hospital Central”, “Tattoo Bar”, “Less Is More”, and in 21 episodes of “Queen of Swords” (2000-2001). She continued with parts in “Don’t Tempt Me” (2001) starring Victoria Abril and Penélope Cruz, “Twelfth Night” (2001), and in TV movie “Clara” (2002), all adding steadily to her net worth.

Pataky also played in “Beyond Re-Animator” (2003) alongside Jeffrey Combs, in 11 episodes of “Los Serrano” (2003-2004), “Romasanta: The Werewolf Hunt” (2004), and “Tiovivo c. 1950” (2004), which only increased her net worth. In the mid-2000’s, Pataky appeared in “Iznogoud” (2005), “Ninette” (2005), “Films to Keep You Awake: The Christmas Tale” (2006), in David R. Ellis’ “Snakes on a Plane” (2006) starring Samuel L. Jackson, Julianna Margulies, and Nathan Phillips, and in “Manuale d’amore 2” (2007) alongside Monica Bellucci, increasing further her net worth. She ended the previous decade with roles in “Máncora” (2008) with Jason Day, “Skate or Die” (2008), in Dario Argento’s horror “Giallo” (2008) starring Adrien Brody, and in “Give ’em Hell Malone” (2009) with Thomas Jane and Ving Rhames.

In 2010, Elsa played in “Mr. Nice” with Rhys Ifans and Chloë Sevigny, later in “Fast Five” (2011) starring Vin Diesel, Paul Walker, Dwayne Johnson, and Tyrese Gibson, and in “Where the Road Meets the Sun” (2011). She then had parts in “All Things to All Men” (2013) alongside Gabriel Byrne, “Fast & Furious 6” (2013), starred in “The Wine of Summer” (2013), and most recently in “Furious Seven” (2015). Thanks to the huge commercial success of the “Fast & Furious” franchise, it helped Pataky to increase her net worth significantly. Elsa is currently filming the latest instalment called “Fast 8” which will be released in mid-2017.

Pataky has appeared on numerous magazines covers too, including Maxim and Women’s Health, and was also a female face for the Time Force’s jewellery line Ultimate Jewel, alongside football superstar Cristiano Ronaldo, which also added to her net worth.

Regarding her personal life, Elsa Pataky dated fellow actor Adrien Brody from 2006 to 2009; Brody bought her a 19th-century mansion in New York for her 31st birthday in 2007. She started dating another actor, Australian Chris Hemsworth in 2010, and they married during Christmas in 2010, and now have three children together. Her hobbies are roller blading, snowboarding, and horse riding. Pataky is fluent in Spanish, French, English, Romanian, and Italian.
