Elliott Neese Wiki Biography

Elliott Neese was born in 1982, in the United States of America. He is a commercial fisherman and reality television star, best known for his appearance in the Discovery Channel show “Deadliest Catch”. The dangerous work he does as a fisherman and the amount of money he receives from being part of the reality show have both increased his net worth to where it is currently.

How rich is Elliott Neese? Sources estimate that his net worth is at $500,000, mostly earned through fishing every year. The dangers of fishing in certain areas help them earn much more money than usual. The popularity and money he’s earned doing the reality show has also helped in this regard. He owns the boat known as the Saga.

Elliott learned to fish at a very young age. From the age of 12, he was already out on boats catching fish, and by the age of 19, he was already running his first cod boat. During his time learning the ways of fishing, he was coached by various captains who taught him a lot about the ways of the sea. Eventually, when the opportunity arose he signed with Original Productions to become part of the reality television show “Deadliest Catch”, allowing a camera crew to be with them as they go to the Bering Sea. The show focuses on their journey and difficulties as they fish for the Alaskan king crab, snow crab and bairdi crab. This was the start of his significant rise in net worth.

“Deadliest Catch” started airing in 2005, and he is one of the youngest captains to be featured in the show, as the captain of the Ramblin’ Rose and later the Saga. On the ship, he has a crew of fishermen and experts that help him traverse the Bering Sea, one of the stormiest seas in the world. The show’s name is such due to the inherent danger of doing this type of work, as injury and even death is not an unfamiliar occurrence. While Elliott’s wealth is significant, it is lower compared to many of the other captains that are featured in the show. Elliott was featured as a captain starting from season seven and then continued to appear in subsequent seasons. In the show, the camera crew records each day of the trip and they often catch the drama inside each ship. There was a time in the show where Elliott was not seen due to him going to rehab, as at the time, he was continuously battling against a drug addiction.

Aside from the drama, and bits of controversy that Elliott has been put in the media for, not much is known about his personal life. What are shown are bits and pieces of their life before and after each fishing expedition, but mainly the show’s focus has been fishing. Neese lives with his long-time girlfriend Valerie Gunderson, and they have two children.
