Dina Marie Ruiz Wiki Biography
Dina Marie Ruiz was born on 11 July 1965, in Castro Valley, California, USA, of Irish, English, African-American, Hawaiian and German descent. Dina is a news anchor and reporter, but probably best known as the ex-wife of director and actor Clint Eastwood. She is also the star of the reality television series “Mrs. Eastwood & Company”, that started in 2012, but all of her efforts have helped in putting her net worth to where it is today.
How rich is Dina Eastwood? As of early-2017, sources estimate a net worth that is at $23 million, mostly earned through a successful career in broadcasting and television. She’s worked for numerous networks, including hosting and acting, all of which have helped in increasing her wealth.
Dina matriculated from Mission San Jose High School and then went to several colleges. Her first college was Ohlone College, and there had one of her first experiences in anchoring, on the campus television network. She then went to Arizona State University and later San Francisco State University, from which she graduated with a degree in Broadcast Communications.
One of her first career opportunities came in 1991, when she became a reporter for KNAZ-TV in Flagstaff, Arizona. She climbed the ladder to become a news anchor of the station, but after a year, she transferred to become a news anchor for KSBW in Monterey, California. She continued working for news stations until she met Clint Eastwood in 1992, and after their marriage in 1996, she semi-retired from broadcasting, but became a host for the television show “A Quest for Excellence”, which featured many students, teachers and celebrities. She would take-on brief stints with radio stations, and also became a host of the show “Candid Camera”. She helped in the film work of her ex-husband too, even appearing in the movies “True Crime” and “Blood Work” as a reporter. She was also cast in the film “The Forger”, and later in the film “Invictus”, in which Dina was the one who discovered the band Overtone who’d become pivotal in Clint’s soundtrack productions.
Aside from these, it is known that Dina is part of the Board of Trustees for The California Museum for History, Women and the Arts. She was also featured in the 2009 “Alumni Hot Shots” list of the San Francisco State University.
For her less-then-private personal life, it is known that Dina met Clint in 1992 during an interview for KSBW-TV. According to Clint, they were flirting during the interview, and later happened to sit with each other at a function. After that event they started dating, and married in 1996, producing a daughter. In 2013, she entered rehab due to depression and later on admitted that she and Clint had already been living separately for some time. Eventually she filed for divorce in October 2013. According to her it was not Clint that was the reason for the divorce but the result of the environment and the people around her. Dina is popular on social media, specifically Twitter, on which she has over 20,000 followers.
