DeSean William Jackson Wiki Biography

DeSean William Jackson, the American Football player, was born on 1 December 1986, to Bill and Gayle Jackson in Los Angeles, California, the 4th of their six own and four adopted children. All his net worth is due to his performances in numerous NFL matches since his debut in 2008.

So can you have any guesses about how rich DeSean Jackson is? According to sources his net worth is somewhere near $14 million as of early 2016, and is accumulating his wealth entirely from his football career. He has also signed a three year contract with the Washington Redskins worth $24 million could raises his present net worth to around $20 million.

He went to Long Beach Polytechnic High School, which is famous as the school of many NFL players. There he started playing football at an early age and won many prizes including the prestigious Glenn Davis 2004 by The Los Angeles Times. He went to the University of California, Berkley for higher studies, but in his final year in 2008 he left his college to enter the NFL Draft. He was chosen by the Philadelphia Eagles and signed a four year contract with them. He played many matches and his team won most of them partly because of his terrific skills. He was in the top 20 player list of 2009. In 2010 he set a record when he was selected for the ProBowl as a ‘kick returner’ and also as a ‘wide receiver’, which had never happened before in the history of ProBowl. He caught six passes while playing in it and had two touchdowns, one of which was a 58 yard catch-and-run touchdown pass.

On December 19, 2010, he made a magnificent 65 yards punt return in the last 14 seconds of the match against the New York Giants, which won his team the game. This punt is the first and only one of its type on the final play in the whole NFL history. Although he played very well and proved himself to be an asset to the Philadelphia Eagles, he also showed a significant disrespect towards their training programs and workshops, and regularly avoided them in spite of many warnings and fines levied on him. All these facts and his bitter relations with the team coach and the managing staff caused his contract with the team to end in 2013. In 2014 he joined the Washington Redskins on a three year contract, which added even more generously to his net worth. Despite these problems, in 2013, Jackson was selected for the ProBowl for the third time, and in 2014, he was voted the 63rd overall best player in the league. He was also featured on the cover of PlayStation 2 version of NCAA Football 2009.

In his personal life, Jackson was very close to his father, who died at an early age due to pancreatic cancer in 2009. His brother Byron also plays football. He keeps any relationship private. He presently lives in Moorestown, New Jersey.
