David Marciano was born on 7 January 1960, in Newark, New Jersey USA, and is an actor, best known for appearing in the television series “Due South” as Detective Raymond Vecchio. He was also part of the drama “The Shield” as Detective Steve Billings, but all of his efforts have helped put his net worth to where it is today.
How rich is David Marciano? As of early-2017, sources inform us of a net worth that is at $1.5 million, mostly earned through a successful career as an actor which began in the mid-‘80s. He’s also known for his performance in the Showtime series “Homeland” as surveillance expert Virgil. As he continues his career, it is expected that his wealth will also continue to increase.
While David was growing up, he was exposed to a lot to crime, and was a troubled youth. He spent time gambling and drinking, amongst other things. In 1985 David moved to California and attended Drama Studio London to study acting, working as a bartender while pursuing acting projects. Two years later, he got his big break when he was a guest star in “Wiseguy”, playing a mobster who impersonated Lorenzo Steelgrave. He then appeared in a Pepsi “Diner” commercial in 1989, which was also broadcast in the UK.
Then more opportunities started coming in, which helped in raising Marciano’s net worth. He had numerous small roles including being a cop in the film “Lethal Weapon 2”. He was also part of the drama “Civil Wars” from 1991 to 1993, playing the role of bicycle messenger Jeffrey Lassick. In 1994, he was cast in “Due South”, in which he played Ray Vecchio for two seasons; eventually his character was written out and was replaced by Detective Stanley Kowalski, but he had to opt out of the role due to other acting commitments, although he did make a return in the series finale in 1999. Other roles he had during this time included making an appearance in an episode of “Touched By An Angel” in which he played a man in need of a heart transplant. He also had a role in the mini-series “The Last Don” as Giorgio Clericuzio.
Other television shows which David has been a part of include “NYPD Blue”, “Judging Amy”, “NCIS”, and “CSI: Crime Scene Investigation”. In 2005, he was cast in “The Shield” which continued to increase his net worth, and led him to other opportunities such as “Sons of Anarchy”, “Lie to Me”, and “Joan of Arcadia”. In 2015, he was cast in the Amazon series “Bosch” in which he played a recurring role, and he also had a recurring role in “12 Monkeys”.
