Dave Abbruzzese Wiki Biography

David James Abbruzzese was born on 17 May 1968, in Stamford, Connecticut USA, and is a musician, probably best known for having been in the rock band Pearl Jam as their drummer from 1991 to 1994. He helped record three albums for Pearl Jam, but all of his efforts have helped put his net worth to where it is today.

How rich is Dave Abbruzzese? As of mid-2017, sources estimate a net worth that is at $3 million, mostly earned through a successful career in the music industry, in particular helping Pearl Jam record their debut album “Ten” as well as the follow up. As he continues his career, it is expected that his wealth will also continue to increase.

Dave grew up in Mesquite, Texas and attended Vanston Jr. High. He started getting interested in drums at a young age, and would invest in a drum set. He then attended North Mesquite High School but soon dropped out to focus on music. He started by joining various bands in Texas, and then formed the band Dr. Tongue, which played a lot of funk music.

Abbruzzese joined Pearl Jam in 1991 after Matt Chamberlain left – they had diverse music tastes but he still joined the band. He supported them in various live shows leading to the eventual release of the album “Ten”, and then toured to support the album and performed on “MTV Unplugged”. The band found a huge amount of success and became a fire starter for the genre grunge. Two years later, Pearl Jam released its second album “Vs” which would become another success. Dave’s net worth started to increase significantly, as the album was nominated for a Grammy Award for Best Rock Album, and songs in the album were also nominated for two Grammy Awards. He then helped the band record their third studio album “Vitalogy” but was eventually removed from the group due to conflicts with other band members. Though the band members didn’t agree with some of Dave’s sentiments, there was no ill harbored between any of them.

After leaving Pearl Jam, Dave formed the Green Romance Orchestra and recorded an album with them. He also worked with Axl Rose for a Guns N’ Roses album, though none of their recordings made the cut. In 2000, he worked with HairyApesBMX and also joined them during their tour for the album “Out Demons”.

A few of his latest projects include playing on the IMF Tour and collaborating with Shawn Smith. All of these opportunities would continue to help build his net worth. In 2016, Pearl Jam was nominated for induction into the Rock ‘n’ Roll Hall of Fame. However, he was not included and the snub led Dave to speak out. Joe Gastwirt would defend Dave in his exclusion from the award, and Dave then posted a lengthy statement on Facebook.

For his personal life, it is known that Abbruzzese married Laura Whisman in 2006, but apparently they have separated. He also has a daughter from a previous relationship.
