Danielle Brooks was born on the 17th September 1989 in Augusta, Georgia USA, and is an actress possibly best known to the world for her role as Tasha ‘Taystee’ Jefferson in the TV series “Orange Is the New Black” (2013-2017), but also for her Broadway appearance as Sofia in “The Color Purple” (2015). Her career started in 2011.
