Have you ever wondered how rich Dan Cortese is, as of early 2017? According to authoritative sources, it has been estimated that Cortese’s net worth is as high as $1.5 million, earned through his successful career in the entertainment industry. Apart from acting, Dan has worked as the host of several shows, such as “My Dad Is Better Than Your Dad” (2008), and “Money Hungry” (2010), which also improved his wealth.
Although Dan was born on Sewickley, he received his high school education at Quaker Valley High School, located in Leetsdale, Pennsylvania, where he excelled in football and basketball, and after matriculation enrolled at the University of North Carolina, where he continued with his football career. He was a backup quarterback, however he didn’t see any playing time during the Tar Heels Aloha Bowl run in 1986. Dan graduated in 1988 with a BA degree in broadcasting.
His first big break came in 1992 when he started hosting “Fox/MTV Guide to Summer ’92”, while from 1992 until 1997 he served as host of “MTV Sports”. Concurrently in 1993 he starred as Arthur Clark in the remake of “Route 66”, while also appearing in the sci-fi action film “Demolition Man”, starring Sylvester Stallone, Wesley Snipes and Sandra Bullock. He then portrayed Chris in the TV drama series “Traps” (1994), while in 1995 he was selected for the role of Jess Hanson in the TV series “Melrose Place”, as the half-brother of Jack Hanson (Grant Show). The following year he starred in the horror thriller “The Lottery”, while in 1997 he was selected for the role of Perry Rollins in the Golden Globe Award-nominated comedy TV series “Veronica’s Closet” (1997-2000), which celebrated him as an actor and increased his wealth to a large degree.
Three years after his stint on the series ended, Dan was selected for the role of Vic Meladeo in another comedy TV series “What I Like About You” (2003-2006), further increasing his net worth. Dan continued with his television roles, and in 2009 portrayed Onno in “Surviving Suburbia”, which also contributed to his wealth. However, since then, Dan hasn’t had any notable roles, with his last known appearance in an episode of the TV series “Hot in Cleveland” in 2012.
Regarding his personal life, Dan has been married to Dee Dee Hemby since 1994, with whom he has two children. However, according to media reports in early-2017, the two are in the divorce process.
