Cote de Pablo Wiki Biography

María José de Pablo Fernández was born on 12 November 1979, in Santiago, Chile, and is a Chilean-American actress who rose to prominence playing the leading role as Ziva David in the television series “NCIS” from 2005-13. In addition to this, Cote adds to her net worth as a vocalist.

So just how rich is Cote De Pablo? Authoritative sources have estimated that de Pablo’s net worth is over $4 million as of mid-2016, accumulated during her career in the entertainment industry which now spans over 20 years.

At the age of 10, Cote de Pablo moved to live in US as her mother was offered a job in Miami. She was educated at Arvida Middle School, and New World School of the Arts, where ‘Cote’ became her nickname, actually a common one in Chile. Meantime she opened her net worth account being 15 years old as a co-host of the Latin-American talk show ‘Control’. In 2000, she graduated from Carnegie Mellon University with a Bachelor of Fine Arts  degree in musical theatre.

As with many actors, she began her full-time professional career on television, taking parts in commercials. In 2000, Cote appeared in the episode of the television drama series ‘The $treet’ created by Jeff Rake and Darren Star, then a year later, de Pablo increased her net worth with the role of Gina in an episode of the  drama series ‘The Education of Max Bickford’ written by David Black and Linda Burstyn.

Branching out, in 2001 Cote De Pablo voiced Melanie Sanchez in the video game ‘TOCA Race Driver’, but Cote really added to her net worth after she appeared in the main cast of the legal drama series created by James Yoshimura, Tom Fontana and Barry Levinson named ‘The Jury’, although because of low ratings only ten episodes of the series were shown.

Then Cote De Pablo became prominent for her major role in the drama series ‘NCIS’ created by Donald P. Bellisario and Don McGill, which brought Cote a number of nominations including for an Imagen Award for Best Actress, an ALMA Award and others. The actress won an Imagen Award for Best Supporting Actress in 2006 and an ALMA Award for the Favourite Television Actress in the Leading Role in a Drama in 2011. These honours have undoubtedly helped increase Cote De Pablo’s net worth and popularity.

In 2010, she appeared on the big screen in the action-western film The Last Rites of Ransom Pride” directed by Tiller Russell. More recently, Cote is one of the cast members of the drama film “The 33” directed by Patricia Riggen, and released in 2014.

In addition to being a noted actress, Pablo is a singer too. Her first recorded song ‘Temptation’ was used in an episode of television series ‘NCIS’ and is listed in the music album “NCIS: The Official TV Soundtrack”. Cote also sings several songs in the album “Vivo en vida” of Roberto Pitre. It is expected that the net worth of the actress will be rising in the future.

In her personal life, the media reported that Cote De Pablo was in a long-term relationship with actor Diego Serrano, but they apparently separated in 2015.

Cote de Pablo Quotes

  • My real name is María José de Pablo. But when I was in 5th grade, people couldn’t pronounce it, so I told them to call me Coty. Then I found out there was a beauty line called Coty, and I hated that! So I changed it to Cote [KOH-teh]. A lot of people don’t get it, but in Chile, if your name is María José, they call you Cote.
  • I have friends who say to me, ‘How come you believe in God?’ I go, ‘How can you not?’ I’ve seen the majestic beauty of nature and the overwhelming perfection of it. To me there’s nothing closer to God than that.
  • Most of the time I rest, try to do a movie or just watch them at home. I’m into watching old movies I haven’t seen like Roman Polanski’s Macbeth (1971). Occasionally I go out with friends, but there’s no time to really go clubbing like I used to. I have to take care of myself because if you get sick you still have to work. I’m not much a party animal anyway. I lay low. I like to be grounded by nature, go hiking… go to an isolated island that’s not glamorous and touristy at all. And if somebody special is sitting next to me, then so be it.
  • Coming from the theater I love the adrenalin rush from working on NCIS. You get home and you’re exhausted, but you feel like you’ve really worked. It’s such a masochistic thing. In one episode we were shooting boxed in a container from 7 in the morning to 12 at night. There’s gunfire in the container…We had to pretend the truck was moving so we had to keep ourselves moving the whole time. I remember my knees were all bruised up because I had to fall so many times. That was taxing on the body. – on doing stunts in NCIS.
