So just how rich is Colin Ferguson now? Sources state that Ferguson has accumulated a wealth of over $8 million, as of mid-2017, acquired during his acting career which began in the mid-1990s.

Ferguson grew up in Montreal, but attended Appleby College in Oakville, Ontario, before Montreal’s McGill University. His career in the entertainment industry started by performing with the improv group called On the Spot in Montreal. He made his television debut in the mid-’90s, appearing in series such as “Are You Afraid of the Dark?” and “The Hunger”, as well as in television films including “Texas Graces” and “A Prayer In the Dark”. His film debut came with the 1996 “Rowing Through”, and by the end of the decade, he had landed recurring roles in the miniseries “More Tales of the City” and “Cover Me”, and played Tom De Lury in the romantic comedy film “The Opposite of Sex”, paving his way to recognition, and his net worth to grow too.

In 2000 Ferguson was cast in the short-lived ABC sitcom “Then Came You”, playing the role of Lewis Peters, which greatly contributed to his popularity and to his wealth as well. Opportunities continued to come his way and he went on to appear in a number of TV series during the early 2000s, such as in “Titus”, “Dead Last”, “Malcolm in the Middle”, “The Outer Limits” and “Crossing Jordan”, as well as in several TV films and the feature film “The Surprise Party”. He also landed the recurring role as Patrick Maitland in the NBC remake of the same-named British sitcom, “Coupling”, and as David Gwynn in the short-lived crime drama series “Line of Fire”. All added to his net worth.

The year 2005 was very busy for the actor, appearing in a number of TV films, including “Ladies Night”, “Confessions of a Sociopathic Social Climber” and “Mom at Sixteen”. The following year saw him landing a major TV role, being cast in the sci-fi television series “Eureka”, playing one of the leading parts of Eureka’s Sheriff Jack Carter, during the show’s five seasons until 2012. The series became very popular among worldwide audiences, receiving the Emmy nomination for Outstanding Visual Effects for a Series, as well as the Leo Award for Best Visual Effects in a Dramatic Series. It shot Ferguson to stardom, earning him a large fan base and significantly increasing his fortune. He also directed and produced several episodes of the show.

In the meantime, he was involved in other projects as well. Aside from reprising his role of Carter in the short web series “Eureka: Hide and Seek”, he also appeared in series such as CSI: Miami” and “Ghost Hunters”, and in several TV films, including leading roles in “Playing House” and “Lake Placid 3″.
