Christine Madeleine Odette Lallouette was born on the 1st January 1956 in Paris, France, and is a lawyer and politician, who serves as the Managing Director (MD) of the International Monetary Fund, a position she has been in since 5th July 2011 – recently she was selected for a new five year turn, which started on 5th July 2016.

In 1995, Christina joined the executive committee, and the four years later became the Chairman of the firm, the first female to achieve such a thing in the company. Her political career officially began in 2005. when she was chosen as minister of Commerce and Industry under French President Jacques Chirac, and Prime Minister Dominic de Villepin.
