To begin with, Catherine debuted on television in the film “The Royal Romance of Charles and Diana” (1982). Soon, she was cast in the popular soap opera “Dynasty” (1984–86) which at that time had high ratings. The appearance in the above mentioned soap opera has increased Oxenberg’s wealth and popularity considerably. Afterwards, the actress created roles in lots of television films including “The Love Boat” (1986), “Still Crazy Like a Fox” (1987), “Trenchcoat in Paradise” (1989), “Ring of Scorpio” (1991), “Charles and Diana: Unhappily Ever After” (1992), “Rubdown” (1993) and many others. Then she was invited to play a role in the popular television series “Acapulco H.E.A.T.” (1994–95) created by Max A. Keller and Micheline H. Keller. Later, she continued her career acting in the television films “Treacherous Beauties” (1994), “Catch Me If You Can” (1998), “Boys Will Be Boys” (1999), “Road Rage” (2000), “The Miracle of the Cards” (2001), “The Vector File” (2002) and many others. Furthermore, Catherine landed several roles on the big screen yet they did not bring much popularity or fame. She starred alongside Hugh Grant in the horror film “The Lair of the White Worm” (1988) directed by Ken Russell which failed in the box office and received mixed reviews from critics. Then she starred in the thriller “Overexposed” (1990) directed by Larry Brand which was not very successful either. A further role in “The Omega Code” (1999) directed by Robert Marcarelli was also a failure. The last role Oxenberg landed was in the main cast of the feature film “Sanctimony” (2000) written and directed by Uwe Boll. The film was not successful either.
In 1998, Catherine married a film producer Robert Evans. However, their marriage was annulled nine days latert. In 1999, she married the actor Casper Van Dien: they have three children and currently reside in Malibu, California, USA.

Catherine Oxenberg Quotes
- (As a model): “I’m lucky I don’t have a [royal] title. Being a princess can work against her in an enormous way. A lot of people don’t want a name, they want a face. If models are known too well, it detracts from the impetus of the product.”
