According to sources, it is estimated that the total of Carol Leifer’s net worth, as of mid-2017, revolves around the sum of $6 million. It has been acquired through her career in the entertainment industry which is currently standing at over 30 years.

Carol was born to Seymour who is an optometrist, and a psychologist Anna Leifer. She attended the City of New York’s Queens College and later attended Binghampton University where she studied theater and observational comedy. She began her stand-up comedy career in New York City’s Comic Strip Club in the early 1980s, and her breakthrough occurred when in 1982 David Letterman saw one of her performances and offered her an engagement on his TV show – “Late Night with David Letterman”. This engagement provided the basis for Carol Leifer’s net worth.

In 1985 and 1986, Carol was regularly appearing on SNL performing in several episodes as well as writing the scenario for over 15 of the episodes, while in 1987 she starred in the “Jerry Seinfeld: Stand-Up Confidential” TV movie. Just a year later, Carol got her own comedy show – “Carol Doesn’t Leifer Anymore” which was followed with several more comedy specials, including “Carol Leifer Comedy Cruise”, “Really Big Show” and “Gaudy, Baudy and Blue”. It is certain that all these ventures helped Carol Leifer to dramatically increase the sum of her wealth.

In 1993 she was employed as regular writing staffer of Seinfeld, and in the course of the show’s next three seasons Carol wrote, edited and produced more than 40 episodes, in addition to appearing in several of those. For her work on the show, Carol was honored with a Primetime Emmy Award nomination for Outstanding Comedy Series in 1996. Doubtlessly, these achievements massively boosted Carol Leifer’s popularity and fame, as well as her net worth.

In 1997 Carol created 21 episodes of The WB’s sitcom “Alright Already” while in 1999 she worked on “It’s Like, You Know…” TV series. In the early 2000s, she wrote five and created 18 episodes of The Ellen Show. Additionally, Carol has also written for six Annual Academy Awards ceremonies, and for these was rewarded with three more Emmy Award nomination in 2010 to 2012. Besides all those already mentioned above, in her portfolio Carol has added several other works such as “Rules of Engagement”, “Modern Family”, “Devious Maids” as well as “Better Late Than Never” and “MADtv” TV series. All these accomplishments have helped Carol Leifer to significantly increase the total of her net worth.

In 2009, Carol published her first book so far, entitled “When You Lie About Your Age, The Terrorists Win”.

When it comes to her personal life, in high school Carol dated Paul Reiser while between 1981 and 1987 she was married to Ritch Snyder. In the mid-1990s, Leifer discovered that she was gay after she met Lori Wolf with whom she is in a relationship since 2002. In 2007 the couple adopted a boy, while in 2015 they married. Currently, Carol resides with her partner in $3.2 million villa in Santa Monica, California.
