Carlos Alan Autry was born on the 31st July 1952, in Shreveport, Louisiana USA, and is a former American Football player, later actor and politician. During his short career in football he was known as Carlos Brown. In 2000, he was elected Mayor of Fresno, California and served in the position for two terms, until 2009. As an actor, he is mostly known for portraying Captain Bubba Skinner in the television series “In the Heat of the Night” (1988 – 1995).
