As any other American football star, Cam`s career began in high school; he attended the Westlake High School in Atlanta, where he already proved to be something. Continuing where he left off, Newton was selected as the only five star recruit, signing up eventually with Auburn University, and while playing for them, Cam won the Heisman Trophy Award in 2010, as an individual award, and won the BSC Championship with his team in 2011. He eventually graduated in 2015 with a degree in sociology.

Later that year, his professional career began, as he decided to enter the 2011 NFL Draft, being selected as the 1st overall pick by the Carolina Panthers, signing a four year deal worth $22 million, increasing his net worth to a very large degree.

In his rookie season, precisely in his debut appearance, Cam showed what he was all about; he broke Payton Manning`s record for the most yards passed, setting his own with 422 yards. Furthermore to his first season, he won the Rookie Of The Year award.
