According to sources it has been estimated that Brian Welch’s overall net worth is $10 million, accumulated through an outstanding music career which he started in the early 1990s. Actually raised in Bakersfield, California, Welch had a difficult childhood as he stood out from his peers, and was often bullied at school. While growing up, he was a big Ozzy Osbourne fan, and eventually became interested in playing the drums. However, at the age of 10 his father convinced him to start playing the guitar instead, because it was a less demanding instrument to carry around. One of his first engagements was with the band “Creep”, for which he was hired as the guitarist. As the band developed, and Jonathan Davis was hired as the lead vocalist, he soon changed the name of the band into “Korn”, as he said it sounded a bit creepy due to the name of the horror movie “Children of the Corn”. Korn gradually became one of the leading nu metal groups, with high earnings, however, Welch and other band members soon became addicted to drugs and struggled with alcohol problems, which lasted for years.

Welch left Korn in 2005 after more than 12 years, citing that he had “chosen the Lord Jesus Christ as his savior” and wanted to pursue a different life. As soon as he left the band, Welch released numerous demos, including a song directed by rapper 50 Cent called “A Cheap Name” and songs like “Dream” and “A Letter to Dimebag”. While staying with the members of the Valley Bible Fellowship in Israel, Welch dedicated himself to creating music which would help people. In March 2008 he had founded the record company called Driven Music Group and released his second solo album “Save Me For Myself”. The same year, he became the representative and principal organizer of an organization and product line called “The Whosoevers”, which added somewhat to his net worth.

Five years later in May 2012, Welch was a special guest at the Carolina Rebellion in Rockingham, NC where Korn was performing on main stage, and was invited to the band’s performance as a special guest for the first time since his departure. Brian also performed with Korn at Rock on the Range, Rock Im Ring and Rock Am Ring, both in Germany, before rejoining the band in May 2013, although maintaining his solo career too – both add to his net worth.

When it comes to his private life, Welch was married to Rebekah from 1998 to 2001. The two gave their first child for adoption, but when Rebekah gave birth to Jennea Marie Welch in 1998, the couple kept her. After divorce, Brian got custody of their daughter and they reside in Arizona, but he maintains contact with his ex-wife.
