Robert Blumer was born in Quebec, Montreal Canada in 1962, into a Jewish family. He is best known to the world for his culinary skills, which he has shown in numerous TV reality shows such as “Glutton For Punishment” (2007-2011), “Worlds Weirdest Restaurants” (2012-2013), and “The Surreal Gourmet” (2005-2006). His career has been active since 1991.

Bob`s next TV show “Glutton For Punishment” began to air in 2007 and lasted until 2011. In this show, Bob put up against many professional cooks, trying to defeat them in their own field of expertize. The show spawned some of the most popular episodes in which Bob broke some of the world`s cooking records such as Onion Peeling Record, Largest Bowl Of Salsa and Egg Cracking Record.
His net worth increased further with his new TV show entitled “World’s Weirdest Restaurants”. In this show, Bob searched for the most unusual restaurants throughout the world, spawning episodes of restaurants in Taiwan, Japan and a nudist restaurant in New York.
Over the course of his career, Bob has been awarded numerous prestigious accolades including a Leo award, two Gourmand World Cookbook Awards and a Prism Award among others.
