Born Armand Anthony Assante, Jr. on the 4th October 1949, in Manhattan, New York City USA, he is an actor, best known to the world through playing mobster John Gotti in the TV series “Gotti” (1996), as Odysseus in “Odyssey” (1997), and as Dominic Cattano in the film “American Gangster” (2007), among other productions. He has been an active member of the entertainment industry since the 1970s.
