Aasha Davis Wiki Biography

Born Aasha Mikaela Telford Davis on the 17th August 1973 in Alexandria, Virginia USA, Aasha is an actress, best known to the world for her roles in television series “South Of Nowhere” (2005-2008) as Chelsea Lewis, then as Waverly Grady in “Friday Night Lights” (2006-2007), and as Racey Jones in “The Unwritten Rules”, for which she also serves as a producer.

Have you ever wondered how rich Aasha Davis is, as of mid- 2017? According to authoritative sources, it has been estimated that Davis’s net worth is as high as $500,000, an amount earned through her successful career, which has been active since the early 2000s.

Aasha’s childhood was marked by constant moves; she lived in Barbados, Canada, and USA, and attended several schools, before matriculating from Cushing Academy in Ashburnham, Massachusetts. While there, she excelled in volleyball but was also interested in classic rock. She then enrolled at George Washington University, from which she graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications.

Soon afterwards, Aasha set her sights on the entertainment industry, and so found a home in Los Angeles, and a job as a production assistant for one of many late-night talk shows, but also started appearing in the show, which drove her towards acting.

In no time she made her debut appearance, in the drama film “Bittersweet Lies” in 2002, then in 2003 played Susan in two episodes of the TV comedy-drama series “Gilmore Girls”. Aasha eventually made her breakthrough with the role of Chelsea Lewis in the TV romantic drama series “South of Nowhere” (2005-2008), which increased her wealth and popularity as well. The following year, she was selected for another successful TV role, this time as Waverly Grady in the sport drama “Friday Night Lights” (2006-2007), but she then didn’t have much success until 2011, as she appeared in minor roles in TV series, but was then cast as Bina in the drama film “Pariah”, written and directed by Dee Rees, and starring Adepero Oduye and Kim Wayans, next to Aasha herself.

The following year she began producing the You Tube web series “The Unwritten Rules”, based on the book “40 Hours and an Unwritten Rule: The Diary of an African-American Woman”, written by Kim Williams. Aasha is also the main protagonist of the series, so her net worth benefited from two directions.

Most recently, she became a part of the cast of the TV comedy series “Drunk History”, in which the narrator recounts the historical events in a funny way, while actors try to follow the narrator’s instructions, and she will feature in the film “The Last Beat”, which is currently in pre-production and is yet to receive a release date.

Regarding her personal life, Aasha has been married to Jesse Pforzheimer since 2002; the couple has one son together.

Aasha had a sister, Lesley, who disappeared in early 2009, following a heavy argument with her husband, Lyle Stanford Herring, Sr. Aasha went to the police after not seeing her sister at work and reported her missing. Police immediately commenced an investigation and Lyle, the husband was arrested. Four years after her disappeared, Lesley’s husband was charged with the second-degree murder of his wife, despite the fact that her body hasn’t been found.
