Rick Yemm Wiki Biography

Rick Yemm was born in the Kelowna, British Columbia, Canada, and is a trucker, and a reality television personality, best known for being part of the series “Ice Road Truckers” which airs on the History channel. He’s appeared in three seasons of the show, but all of his efforts have helped put his net worth to where it is today.

How rich is Rick Yemm? As of late-2017, sources inform us of a net worth that is at $600,000, mostly earned through success in trucking and reality television. He’s been seen hauling cargo along various routes throughout his run with the series. As he continues his endeavors, it is expected that his wealth will also continue to increase.

Rick first started attracting popularity – and his net worth also started increasing – in 2007 when he became part of the series “Ice Road Truckers” or IRT on the History Channel. The show focuses on truck drivers operating on seasonal routes in Canada and Alaska, which often take them driving across frozen lakes and rivers, generally passing through numerous remote Arctic territories. Some of the most iconic locations in the show include the remote Dalton Highway, and the Manitoba winter roads. Rick appeared in the first season of the series as one of the employees of Driver Hugh “The Polar Bear” Rowland, however, he had a lot of tension with Rowland during the first season, which caused him to quit his work and return home. He was seen in the series being hard on trucks, with the first season depicting him taking them on trails such as the Tundra Mine, Colomac Mine and Yellowknife. He then appeared during the second season, foraying the ice road from Invuik to Tuktoyaktuk, in fact the second season focused a lot on the Tuktoyaktuk Winter Road.

Yemm would then disappear from the cameras until the fifth season, when he returned to drive the ice roads in Manitoba. This was the first season to feature two differing roads as it also included the Dalton Highway. He then returned for the following season to be showcased moving cargo along the Manitoba winter roads once more. His continued endeavors on the show have helped build his net worth even further.

He also appeared on the spin-off show entitled “IRT: Deadliest Roads” which showcased Yemm as part of a crew that would put their driving skills to the test in treacherous mountain roads in India. He also returned for the second series of the show, this time focusing on South America.

Aside from trucking, he also has a carpet cleaning business, although one wonders when he finds the time for this company.

For his personal life, it is known that during an interview, Rick expressed his disappointment with reality television, especially since the show tied him to showcase a character who appeared as a bad guy, showing people having a bad attitude even though most of the cast don’t. He’s been friends with the Polar Bear for 18 years. He also doesn’t actually own a truck, but he admits that he has some bad driving habits. Not much is known about any romantic relationships; he is believed to be single, but is rumoured to have a daughter.
